A) 学生の部 (Student Category)

Malaysian citizen
Japanese is not your native language
Have never studied in Japan for more than 3 months
Must be able to provide proof that you are currently a student. (secondary school/college/university, etc.)

B) 一般の部 (Open Category)

Open to all nationalities
Japanese is not your native language

How to Apply

Preparations

Prepare a speech script with the following points,
- Title: Title of your choice
- Language: Japanese
- Length of Speech: Within 5 minutes
- File format: PDF
Prepare a 30 – 60 seconds self-introduction video
- Format: MOV/MP4
- Language: Japanese
- Max Size: 100MB

Register & Submit

Register and submit your script and self-introduction video (online submission only) latest by 23:59 (UTC+8), 14 June 2026 (Sunday).

※Applications received after the cut-off time/date will automatically be disqualified.

Finalist Announcement

Finalists announcement will be made on 26 June 2026 (Friday).

Presentation Contest

The Japanese Business Presentation Contest will be held on 18 July 2026 (Saturday). More details will be provided later.

This competition will be held entirely in Japanese. Kindly arrive by 1:55pm; guests will be allowed into the hall from 1:45pm onwards. Late comers may not be allowed to enter the hall when finalists are presenting. Guests will be contacted through the number provided should there be any changes to the event.

Yes, any documents that could prove that you’re an existing student will be acceptable.

Is there any age limit?

No, there’s no age limit.

Where will the contest be held?

The contest will be held at the JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

Do I need to send you a video/voice recording of me reading the script?

No, you only need to send your script saved in PDF.

If I am chosen as one of the finalists, must I be present at JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur to participate in the presentation contest?

Yes, you are required to take part in the contest physically.

What happens if I am not able to participate physically on the day of the contest?

You will be disqualified automatically.

Are there any transportation/accommodation allowances for finalists who are traveling to Kuala Lumpur?

No, transportation and/or accommodation expenses will be borne by the finalists.

Can my presentation/script be prepared in languages other than Japanese?

No, we only accept presentation/script prepared in Japanese language.

[Student category] If I am chosen as the winner for the student category, can I choose the date of travel?

No, the date of travel is determined by the organizers.

The trip is expected to be held on 18 – 25 October 2026 (Sun–Sun, 8 Days) (tentatively), more information will be provided later.

[Open category] If I am chosen as the winner for the open category, can I choose the date of travel?

Yes, you can.
