Entry requirements
- Must be enrolled at a local high school or a Japanese language school.
- Must have not resided in Japan for more than 12 months.
- Participant or parents/ guardians are non-native speakers of Japanese
- Was not a First prize winner in a previous regional final of the Kake International Speech Contest.
- Must be a citizen of the country where the Overseas Regional Final Contest is held.
